A Snowsports Show on REAL SNOW

The Northern Snow Show concept came about from the Chill Factore, and The Snow Centre teams - our sister site in the south – talking to guests and brands at other winter sorts shows and events over the last year or so. When we discovered that there wasn’t going to be an NEC-based event in Birmingham in 2024, and there was no sign of an event outside of London, we decided to change that.

We chatted it through with some of our partner brands and those that we’ve worked with on freestyle events at Chill Factore in Manchester and The Snow Centre in Hemel.

Our pitch was simple: There is no consumer Snowsports show planned outside of London in 2024. Chill Factore in Manchester has three things that make it the perfect venue to put on a show for anyone that doesn’t fancy a trip all the way down to the big smoke:

1. Our venue is massive – the Beyond building is huge and already houses a number of sports brands, food and beverage outlets and leisure activities.
2. Our amazing team – not only are our team used to hosting large-scale events at Chill Factore, they’re so pumped at being part of Northern Snow that we’ve had to calm them down on numerous occasions while we dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
3. Our 180 meter REAL SNOW main slope, REAL SNOW beginner slope and our fun for the whole family Snow Park… featuring (you guessed it) REAL SNOW!

Everyone loved the idea! What better way than to launch the Winter Season for everyone from the midlands up to Scotland than with a Snowsports Show in Manchester! Featuring the best in Snowsports and lifestyle brands, Snowsports organisations, equipment test opportunities on real snow, ski and snowboard lift passes and lessons on real snow and a big gathering of like minded enthusiasts.
